Rachel's PG&S Logbook

One of our early TEAM assignments was to keep track of our Professional Growth and Scholarship resources.  We were invited to do this in any format we like.  Suggested formats included Word documents or index cards.  Since I love working on the Montauk School Library Media Center Web Page (and telling everyone about it too!), I decided to use that web space to keep track of, organize and publicize my Professional Growth and Scholarship resources.  I later "copy and pasted" the information here in this Dreamweaver page. Scroll down, click around and see what's here.  Feedback and reactions are wanted and welcomed . . .
Planning to tranfer all of this to my del.icio.us . . . be sure to check it out!

Some of you have heard of webquests. We'll look at the work of the webquest king, Bernie Dodge from San Diego State. . . Bernie Dodge's work is outstanding, setting in context webquests that tap into higher order thinking skills. We see many webquests that just don't get it. They are directive rather than expansive. Starting with Dodge is the way we'll approach the subject.

Steve Silverman and Rob Strauss from Computer Logic Group are our partners in the Educational Leadership series (e.g., the Milton Chen from George Lucas last fall). They are a business, trying to impact on teachers, students, and schools, helping them to use technologies well. The series we share with them seeks to look at the big picture and play a support role. Sometimes we learn from commercial sources. There are many. We chose this one for today as CLG created a new web site hoping to draw in people just like you.
