Here are a list of some of my favorite web sites that I have come across over the last two years in association with TEAM.

Internet 4 Classrooms

This is a great site that provides a wealth of resources for teachers to use to find interactive activites for students.

King's List of Online Math Activities

This site is sorted by topics and provides links to online math activities.

 Regents Prep Math A Activities

This page is one of many supported by RegentsPrep.org. It lists games and activities posted on Quia that support topics in the Math A and Math 8 curriculum.

Explore Learning Link

I love this site. The Math and Science Gizmos are awesome tools to provide students with interactive lessons that excite learners. It has a link that correlates the Gizmos to many States' Learning Standards.

National Council of Teachers of Math

This site is created by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematic. It has links that are continually updated for current events and ideas in Math.

This site provides Challenge Puzzles to use with students and their families.

Argyll Centre - Jim Reed's Home Page

This site lists math standards and activities for grades 7-9. The standards are based on the Alberta Canada's Curriculum. His site is designed to help the home schooled student. Many usefully links.

Purple Math

This site provides lessons in Algebra. I find this site useful to provide tutorials on topics covered in Math 8 and Math A.

Web Quests are an incredible teaching tool if they are set up correctly. Find great Web Quest or learn how to build one.

This site provides a wealth of resources for educators. The links provide an invaluable tool for any one who works with kids.

Quia

 

This site hosts lessons, and quizzes and games created by teachers for use by students and teachers. There are many great activities that can be found here. In order to search the archives you may need a subscription.

NYS 8th Grade Math Standards

These pages break down the NY State standards for the 7th and 8th grades. Next to the standards are links to activities that go along with the standard.

Mr. Nussbaum's

This is a site for all subject areas. It has great math activities such as Draggable Division and scavenger hunts. Geared to 2nd - 6th Grades but good review activities.
