Throughout my participation in TEAM , I have been involved in several collaborative groups. By working with different groups I learned first-hand what goes into cooperative and collaborative efforts. Working well together takes a great deal of practice and communication. Each collaborative effort entailed using the 5 disciplines. As we worked in our collaboration, we all had to achieve personal mastery in technological skills (PM) in order to effectively design our website. As we planned our website, I had to examine my mental models, not just about what we were planning the website to be, but also what my role would be in the team effort. To achieve our goals, we had to come to a shared vision (SV). This took much conversation and dialogue. By putting our efforts, contacts, ideas and skills together we achieved team learning (TL). Finally, as a graduate of TEAM and in finishing up the website, I believe that I achieved systems thinking (ST). Truly we achieved far much more together than we would have achieved as individuals. The two collaborative groups that I worked with were Global Understanding and North Star.
