C.W Post's TEAM program encourages it's students to develop and evolve
their educational philosophy. We are encouraged to achieve personal mastery, create our own mental models of education and try to create
change on our own level and perhaps within our schools, thus achieving systems thinking and shared vision. Eventually once these steps are achieved we can use team learning to implement and improve the quality of education. These ideas are best expressed in Peter Senge's The Schools that Learn"
We are also encouraged to nuture the practice of constructivistic learning with the help of technology. Constructivistic learning is important because of the evolution of the necessary skills that students and individuals face today. According to Edutopias Instructional Module on brain based learning, students/individuals need the fundamental skills of reading writing and arithmetic. In addition they may be required to learn other skills such as teamwork, use of high tech equipment, and information synthesis . Edutopia's Instructional Module also states that the integration of technology enhances the constructivistic learning because it allows teachers and students to experience things that they may not be able to experience. As I stated in my 'About Me' section, I've found some online labs that I may not necessarily be able to conduct in class. These labs allows students to construct their own learning by interacting with the programs software and simulations of the subject matter I'm teaching.
