Below are examples of work that I have done in my EEV collaborations:
During my time in TEAM I have worked in two different collaborations. Both were great experiences and extremely rewarding. It was fun to work with different people the second year of TEAM. However, I did miss collaborating with certain people from my East Enders collaboration. Both collaborations pushed me to do my best work in different ways (G2-1). If it weren't for my collaborations I wouldn't know as much about Macromedia and Adobe.
During my time with the East Enders collaboration, I was able to work with a group of people on a project concerning the East End of Long Island. For all of us it was our first attempt at completing a fully functioning website (TL). It was a lot of fun, and I am still very proud of the work we did. I helped create the overall site and a web quest (an area of technology in the classroom which intrigued me) about the early history of the East End. We were a great group who pushed and helped each other throughout our fist year in TEAM (SV,G2-1)
. Sadly, two of our members left TEAM, and our group went in different directions.
A change of scene and some new partners was perfect for me. In my second year, I worked on a collaboration with two of my colleagues from Southampton and formed strong bonds with them, which will last beyond our time in TEAM. The three of us are very active in using technology in the classroom and spend a lot of our time talking about what we are doing in TEAM and in the classroom when we see each other in the hallways. It will be very odd next year not to discuss TEAM with them on an almost daily basis (SV). My time in this group was set up creating a course for students about digital photography and web design, two things that had inspired us the year before and something we wanted the students to enjoy. It would turn out that I would be teaching a class, very similar to this independent study (PM). During my time in the East End Images collaboration, I grew as a student of web design, learning Photoshop, Studio 9 and Flash (PM). I worked on the overall site, created a model site for our students to see the types of activities they could do and created a page of tutorials that I made or adapted so that students could complete them. This collaboration was a great way to finish out my time in TEAM (TL). |
