There are so many things that have helped create the person that I am; my family, my husband, my friends, but most of all, my son, Colby. Having a child forces you to see the world without any preconceived notions or any tainted views of how life is. Knowing how impressionable they are makes my job as a parent even more difficult than providing food, clothing, shelter, and love. Children take everything you do, hear, and say into advisement and live life as you model it for them. Even more difficult than raising a child is living a life that you would want your child to model their life after. If we could only be that naïve and take in all that is going on around us without judgment. Nobody is perfect, but if we consciously choose to know people without judgement, it would make for a more amiable community.
