EEV North Star is a product of a multitude of ideas and countless numbers of work hours. The members of this collaboration are committed, caring educators, who believe that they can make a difference.
The George Lucas Educational Foundation conversation was a great way to show the differences in personal mental models, especially in relation to the system of education. It is obvious that our overall current methods of teaching are antiquated and need to be changed drastically in order to move our youth into a very competitive world.
I hope to create more connections between students and their community throughout the upcoming school years. My ultimate goal is to have students taking action because they believe that they are integral members of their communities.
